Toss and Whirl and Pass Exclusive Availability |
With the launch of Toss Whirl Pass, we'll be conducting an experiment. The book will debut on this site, the author's own site, and on Amazon.com. The reason is simple: Returns are a huge problem, especially those coming from wholesalers, and we're really not happy with our distribution setup and want to handle our books ourselves. Retailers can purchase copies of any Quote "Editions" book on this site at 60% discount; in exchange, your purchase is non-refundable/nonreturnable unless damaged in the shipping process. In fact, this has been our policy all along, the difference being that the books could be ordered from Baker & Taylor, etc. Not anymore!

American Library Association Rainbow List 2010 |
Very excited that Finlater made the Rainbow List 2010 Bibliography. It seems Finlater was discovered a little late in the game here, since the novel was published in 2008, but the honor is all the sweeter for it -- especially the starred review.

Finlater received top honors at the Lambda Literary Awards 2008, winning in the Gay Debut Fiction category. Congratulations Shawn, as well to all the nominees.

We're over-the-moon---needless to say!
Also, Finlater will debut in April as a Book of the Month Club selection, as well an Insight/Out Book Club feature selection. Both book clubs will feature hardcover editions of Finlater---originally published in paperback. We're considering coming up with a commemorative hardcover with an even more stunning design. We'll keep you posted.
